Jr. High Boys Basketball Coach

Ben Cramer is a 2006 graduate of Toledo Christian High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of Toledo. Ben is in his second season as head coach of the Jr. High boys basketball team. He has also coached JV boys basketball and assisted the girls and boys basketball teams and the Varsity baseball team at MCA. In addition to coaching, Ben is a math teacher at Harvard Elementary. He attends Monclova Road Baptist Church with his wife, Hannah, and serves in the music ministry.

Jr. High Girls Basketball Coach

Hannah Cramer is a 2006 graduate of MCA and a 2009 graduate of Thomas Edison State College. She has six years of basketball coaching experience at MCA and is in her fifth year as head coach of the Jr. High girls this season. In addition to coaching, Hannah is the graphic designer at MRBC, an academic coach for CollegePlus, and a private music teacher. She attends MRBC with her husband, Ben, and serves in the music ministry.

Cortney Filler is a 2005 graduate of Anthony Wayne High School and a 2008 graduate of Word of Life Bible Institute. She was in her second season as Varsity boys soccer coach and her first season as girls track coach in the spring of 2012 at MCA. In addition to coaching, Cortney works for JDM Custom Impressions, Inc. She attends Monclova Road Baptist Church with her husband, Joshua, and is a huge fan of the University of Michigan!

Josh Filler is a graduate of Word of Life Bible Institute and of Cedarville University. He has coached the JV boys basketball team at MCA and is now in his second season assisting the Varsity boys basketball team. Josh was also head coach of the boys track & field team in the spring 2012. In addition to coaching, Josh is a teacher at MCA. He attends Monclova Road Baptist Church with his wife, Cortney, and he enjoys assisting Word of Life missionaries with local events. Josh also loves to golf in his spare time.

Ben Keiser is a 2011 graduate of MCA. This will be his second season as assistant coach to the Jr. High boys basketball team and first season as head coach of the 5th-6th grade boys team at MCA. In addition to coaching, Ben is currently earning his BSBA degree in General Management from Thomas Edison State College. He attends Monclova Road Baptist Church and is involved in the College & Career, AWANA, and music ministries.

5th-6th Grade Girls Basketball Coach

Mike Nagle is a graduate of Bob Jones University and is in his first year coaching the 5th-6th grade girls basketball team this year. He has five years of coaching experience with JV boys basketball. Outside of coaching, Mike is the quality manager at Basilius, Inc. He attends Monclova Road Baptist Church with his wife, Jennifer, and three children, where he serves in the nursery and AWANA ministries. Mike enjoys time with his family and collecting sports cards, and he is big fan of the Washington Redskins.

Jr. High Boys Soccer Coach

Darrell Patterson is a graduate of Emmanuel Christian High School. He was in his first season coaching the Jr. High boys soccer team this year at MCA. Outside of coaching, Darrell works as a bricklayer for Spartan Construction. He attends Monclova Road Baptist Church with his wife, Beth, and five children, and serves in the AWANA ministry. In his spare time, Darrell enjoys hunting and raising animals for food.

Varsity Girls Basketball Coach

Oscar Velazquez is in his tenth season of coaching basketball at MCA, and this is his second season as head Varsity Girls coach. During his time at MCA, he has coached Jr. High and JV/Varsity boys. Oscar is a graduate of Hyles Anderson College and an assistant pastor at MRBC. He heads up the Reformers Unanimous, nursing home, and Young at Heart ministries. He also serves in the jail ministry and teaches Sunday school.

Varsity Boys Basketball Coach

Chad Walters is a 2001 graduate of the University of Toledo and is in his second year coaching the  Varsity boys at MCA. He has also coached the JV boys at MCA, assisted the Varsity boys team at Central Catholic, and coached freshman basketball at Bowsher High School. Chad is the Athletic Director at MCA and is a self-employed landscape care provider with Yards Made Simple. He attends Monclova Road Baptist Church with his wife, Courtney, and two daughters.

Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach

Anita Williams is a graduate of the University of Toledo School of Nursing and a graduate of Springfield High School, where she played Varsity volleyball and softball.  She has nine years of coaching experience with Jr. High and JV/Varsity volleyball and JV softball. She was in her ninth season coaching volleyball at MCA. Anita has also coached the Varsity softball team at Swanton High School. In addition to coaching, she is a homeschool mom of seven kids.

Jr. High Girls Volleyball Coach

Sharon Winslow was in her first season as head coach of the Jr. High girls volleyball team this year. She has coached both Jr. High swimming and college beach volleyball during her coaching career and has also been a volleyball official. Outside of coaching, Sharon works as the business office manager at Parkcliffe Alzheimer Community. She attends Monclova Road Baptist Church with her family and serves in the AWANA and nursery ministries.

Caleb Harper is a 2008 homeschool graduate and a 2012 graduate of Bob Jones University with a BA in History. He has one year of coaching experience with an intercollegiate basketball team at Bob Jones. This is his first season assisting the Varsity girls at MCA. Caleb loves basketball and has represented international teams during his athletic career. In addition to coaching, Caleb is the sixth grade Bible teacher at MCA and a staff intern at Monclova Road Baptist Church, where he is leading the College & Career ministry.

Craig Hester is a graduate of Emmanuel Christian School and is currently earning his degree from Bob Jones University and Owens Community College. He was in his fifth season as assistant Varsity boys soccer coach at MCA this year. He has eleven years of coaching experience with different sports, including Jr. High/Varsity soccer, Varsity baseball, and Jr. High basketball. He currently serves as a trustee at Bethany Baptist Church.

Heidi Ross  is a graduate of Eastwood High School and of Tennessee Temple University. She has three years of basketball coaching experience, assisting both the Jr. High and Varsity girls. In addition to coaching, Heidi is the second grade teacher at MCA. She attends Monclova Road Baptist Church, where she is involved in the AWANA, TAG, and adult choir ministries. She enjoys taking pictures and spending time with her nephew, Collin.

Assistant Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach

Mark Williams is a graduate of Eastwood High School and the University of Toledo. He has seven years of coaching experience, coaching and assisting JV/Varsity volleyball, and fast pitch softball, Varsity boys basketball, and youth soccer. This is his sixth year assisting the MCA volleyball program. In addition to coaching, Mark works as a mechanical engineer for Dana Corporation. He enjoys woodworking, auto racing, and time spent with his wife, Anita, and seven kids.

Assistant Jr. High Girls Volleyball Coach

Kayla Yoshino is a 2008 graduate of Sylvania Southview High School, where she played four years of volleyball. She is also a 2012 graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She was in her first season assisting the Jr. High girls volleyball team this year. In addition to coaching, Kayla works as the graphic designer and customer support team leader at Your Marketing Works. She attends Garden Park Christian Church and is involved in the youth ministry.
